Privacy Policy for Formathics

1. Information We Collect

Educator Information: We collect names and email addresses of educators during the signup process or as provided by school/district administration. This is necessary for providing individualized access to our services.

Organization Information: We collect directory information about schools and school districts, including names, phone numbers, and addresses. This data is gathered during the signup process or from publicly available sources. This information is essential for tailoring our services to each educational organization and facilitating effective communication and support.

Analytics Information: To improve our site over time, we have integrated Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Google Tag Manager sends information about website traffic, such as the number of visitors, the pages visited, and the time spent on each page to Google Analytics. From there, GA4 organizes that data so Formathics can understand how visitors interact with our website. Google Tag Manager does not collect personally identifiable information, such as names or email addresses.

2. How We Use and Share Your Data

Your personal data (like your name and email) is used to enhance the Formathics experience, including personalizing services to your teaching environment and facilitating communication.

Necessary information about your organization is shared with Stripe for processing debit/credit transactions securely.

Analytics data is used to understand how people interact with Formathics and to plan improvements to our offerings based on that data.

3. User Consent

By using Formathics, you consent to the collection and use of your data as necessary for service functionality, including information through GTM, as detailed above. This information is required for the effective operation of our services.

4. Compliance with Children's Privacy Laws

Formathics adheres to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not elicit, nor do we knowingly collect or store any personal information from or about students.

5. Amendments to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and your continued use of our services constitutes agreement to the modified terms.
